s a hand. Now Broke Eatery is back open and Chef Kitamba’s passion for cooking can be put back in action! Chef Kitamba has been cooking professionally for 25 years, under some of the best chefs in the world. Opening Four Diamond restaurants and working with Chef Fernando Cruz, Chef of a Two Michelin Star restaurant in Spain. Chef Kitamba ran the kitchen of the World-Famous California restaurant, The Nest, rated top 100 restaurants in the U.S. by OpenTable, and also ran one of the kitchens of the prestigious Waldorf Astoria restaurants. Along the way, he picked up various cuisine techniques, such as French, Spanish, Creole, Fusion, New Vous, Southwestern and Continental Cuisine. We want to keep Provo on its toes and share an ever-changing menu with a delicious plate every day. Chef Kitamba had always wanted to run his own restaurant. But there have been many ups and downs in the process, making Broke Eatery’s name very personal and from the heart. That is why the main concept here is creating a cozy atmosphere as if we are inviting you directly into our home. Having one special dish that day as if we are all sitting down together. We have had SOOO much support from the community, on a personal and business level, even being California outsiders. “His story is compelling”, said our Provo Mayor, John Curtis, “we’re cheering for him to be successful”. That’s why we want to give back to the community and promote local MUSIC, FOOD, and ART to bring awareness to: DRUG ADDICTION, P**N ADDICTION, ALCOHOLISM AND MENTAL ILLNESS. Thanks Provo!
