6.0 intercooler in a 7.3L Powerstroke diesel? Yup. There are a couple of advantages of this power mod for the 7.3, but first we are going to cover the parts you will need to install a 6.0L Powerstroke diesel intercooler in your superduty 7.3L Powerstroke diesel.
First component is a 6.0 intercooler. We got ours from because they have the best intercooler with the most features for the best price. Cast end caps and a thicker than stock core (for even the 6.0) plus upgraded bar and plate (rather than stock style tube and fin) are all more heavy duty and help maximize the cooling function of the intercooler. If you are going to make an upgrade, might as well maximize, right?
The only other parts you need to do this swap is a 3x3 and 3x3.25 intercooler boots, as well as one 3.25 band clamp. These parts are available from quite a few different sites and super affordable. Best part is this intercooler mod requires no cutting or hacking and the install is even easier if you already have a 6.0 Powerstroke transmission cooler (a must-have for the 7.3L). We are excited to get our 7.3L Powerstroke diesel cranking right again with this battery cable kit from . A few things that stuck out about this kit: -labeled terminal ends, which takes all the guesswork out of where each end hooks up
-fine strand SAE copper cable for maximum conductivity
-crimped and sealed terminal ends to prevent future corrosion
-options to select the right starter lug terminal, so the starter lug end doesnât have to be jimmy-rigged.
-2 gauge wire with extra sleeving
-full instructions if needed
Dreaded click.. click.. click⌠windshield wipers go off⌠dome light flashesâŚ. yup that means the 7.3L isnât gonna start. Pretty obvious itâs the battery cables, we know theyâve been going bad for some time, but wiggling the terminals doesnât work anymore. We got in a 7.3L powerstroke battery cable kit from and the first impression is we shouldnât have been dreading this job: all the terminal ends are labeled, and the attention to detail on this kit is pretty obvious. All the prep work was worth it. 40s and lunatic look perfect. Should we paint the trimmed body panels to match the cab, or leafve the rusty mid-match?
These LUNATIC machine-face, simulated beadlock wheels are brand new on the market, and there are not a lot of pictures online yet of what they look like in real life in the 8 lug version. Hopefully these pictures help you visualize the wheel better.

Canât beat billet â¨
Hereâs the Front differential cover we installed on our 2000 7.3L Powerstroke diesel. This cover fits 10 bolt Dana 50/60/70 axles from ford/chevy/dodge. I can confirm it has plenty of clearance for the tie rods on the 99-03 superduty ford trucks.
Besides the bling I like this cover because it has more capacity, cooling fins, magnetic fill and drain plugs, a sight glass, internal fluid control technology, and a temp sensor port.
