This Christmas tree in Trivento, Italy is made entirely.out of granny squares. I love it so much! I have a small Christmas tree in my room, but now I think I want to make something like this instead. Isn't it amazing? 🎄

It is always a joyous celebration of all things handmade at the Harmony Anniversary Fashion Show. I can’t even begin to express how much goodness and love flows from this place. My very favorite thing to knit of all things is baby bo**ies and baby bonnets. I don’t knit them as often as I’d like, and I’m a horrible & offensive pattern tweeker combined with a lazy knitting notes maker, so every pair and every little hat seems to turn out just a bit differently. *sigh* One day, I’ll commit to writing down all my ideas, opinionated ramblings, and tips/tricks for anyone remotely interested. On Monday my sweet niece Afton was laid to rest very near my father in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. It was a beautiful and tender day! My brother Rob and his wife Sheri would like to create an endowed scholarship fund that will allow other outstanding students from Mississippi to attend BYU - regardless of their religious affiliation - in Afton's place. If you were touched by Afton's strength, the way she handled her challenges this year, and if you can help in even the smallest way, a perpetually endowed scholarship fund can be created in Afton's honor.

My sweet niece, who received incredibly good news a month ago about her chemotherapy, has had the good new reversed today. It is so unfair. Yet, I trust that God has a plan, that Afton Wallace and her family is known to Him and the angels that surround them, and I believe in the power of prayer. So, all I can do is pray and ask that you would offer a prayer for them too.

So grateful for this time of year when we I have an opportunity to refocus attention on the Savior and the many gifts He has given us all. Merry Christmas!
