🐉 3 Things to SOAR Into a Great School Year!
Before the first bell rings, there are three simple things families can do to help your family and Sunset View start the school year strong:
🔴 1. Update your PowerSchool information
Make sure your contact information and emergency contacts are current so our teachers and staff can reach you when it matters most.
Need help completing your registration or updating your information? Help is available! Join the district-sponsored School Registration Support Night on August 13, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Provo City School District Office, 280 W 940 N.
You can also get help at Sunset View Back to School Night on August 17 at 5:30 PM. Our administrative team will be available to walk you through the steps, and devices will be available to help families complete online forms and make updates. 💻
🔵 2. Apply for Free or Reduced Meals if you qualify
Even if your child brings lunch from home, completing the application can help Sunset View qualify for resources that benefit ALL of our students.
🔴 3. Join Sunset View PTA
Connect with other families, support our school, and make your voice part of our school community.

✨ Behind every great school year is an incredible team working hard behind the scenes!
Our dedicated custodians have spent the entire summer preparing Sunset View for an amazing 2026 to 2027 school year. From a complete deep clean of every classroom and hallway to freshly waxed floors that shine, they have worked tirelessly to create a clean, welcoming, and safe place where every Dragon can learn, grow, and succeed.
We are so grateful for all they do to help make Sunset View feel like home. ❤️💙

We want to see our Sunset View Dragons reading all summer long!
Whether you’re reading at home, at the park, on vacation, by the pool, or curled up on the couch, snap a photo and share it with us. Your photo may be featured on our Facebook and Instagram pages throughout the summer.
To participate:
📸 Take a photo of your student reading
🔗 Click the Summer Reading Snapshots link in our bio
📱 Submit your photo through the Google Form
Don’t forget about our Summer Reading Prize Program!
🗓️ The first day to turn in completed reading calendars is June 10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Sunset View front office.
🍫 Read 200 minutes and earn a full-size candy bar!
We can’t wait to see where our Dragons are reading this summer!

Free summer meals are available for all children 0–18 in Provo City School District!
The Summer Lunch Program will run June 1–July 16, Monday through Thursday. No meals will be served on Fridays.
Breakfast: 8:00–9:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Meals will be served at Franklin, Provo Peaks, Spring Creek, Sunset View, Timpanogos, Westridge, Independence High, and Provo High.
A summer lunch menu and program information will be sent home with every elementary student soon.
