There is a fun art show at the Utah County Art Gallery. Come take a look.
Thanks to these fine men, especially Greg Ryan, the City Hall window is installed. The frame is gorgeous, the lighting is perfect. They make my windows look good.
Every window has a story. This one is for a grieving wife who lost her husband. He was a policeman and this was his call number. She mentioned that she felt like broken glass. As we see, broken glass can be mended into something beautiful. I hope in time, her heart will also mend.
I just finished foiling this window. It is ready to be soldered. It will eventually hang in a birthing center. I wanted the colors to be calm and relaxing. I'm excited to see it finished and installed.

We have been busy in the stained glass studio. So many wonderful students making fun glass projects.
There are products on the market like this called border kits. They are aluminum held down with push pins. I have some somewhere. When I find them I will show you. It's just another way to define your edges. Have a creative day.

What did you do last week? Did you laugh? Did you create? Did you have a conversation that inspired you? We did. Stained glass classes are more than cutting, foiling and soldering. There is connection, creation and sharing. You are welcome to join the joy.

I started with the first window. It was okay. I couldn't get all the detail I wanted so David printed it on transparency film. I like the second one much better because he printed it in color and I found some glass that set it off. I think my client is going to be pleased with the second choice. I hope so. What do you think?

I love teaching mosaic classes.♥️ There are so many ways to build them. There are lots of little glass squares or a more painterly way of cutting glass. Either way is beautiful. I have as much fun as my students as I see the project evolve.

The sinuous curves may be tricky to cut but ooh so worth it. This window is inspired by a quilt block called " Dresden Plate ". The pieces are like an applique of colors. Don't shy away from hard cuts. Lean in and take them a score at a time.
