I’ve always had a hard time just sitting still and camping there is a lot of sitting. So when we found this cool fallen stick on the hiking trail I had to grab it. I probably should get an actual carving knife but for this trip my razor blade that was sitting in my car was perfect!

One of the families who joined us had magic pinecones that turned the fire blue and pink! The kids were loving it and kept asking if it was real magic. 🪄 One of my favorite pastimes when camping is just staring at the fire and coals as they burn down.

We decided to take a family trip to our favorite campsite in Pollick Pines. We haven’t been here in a decade and it is so fun to show it off to our kids. I love this zip line and use it anytime there are strong enough trees to hold it up. But the kids seem to think they know better on how high to make it and so we had a fun experiment to show them that ‘mother knows best’!

This is a throw back to a video I made three years ago and it is just as true now as it was then. The only difference is the projects are taking over the basement instead of the upstairs now. Thankfully after 20 years together Matt knows exactly what he has gotten into and is still willing to put up with me.

Well … like a subscribe and all that jazz if you want to see more of my crazy jobs but at the end of the day I just really like doing this work and didn’t think my page would get much interest. Having a video go viral is a bit of a weird experience and my daughter lectured me with Ralph breaks the internet logic and said I’m not allowed to read the comments anymore. Before my video took off most people were very kind and supportive. I already knew that it’s ok to make mistakes and that is how we learn and grow. I am so grateful for all the support and advice that was offered. I will continue to share my successes and failures so that hopefully we can learn together.

My renter got the rest of her stuff and the kitchen is clean and ready for me to do some repairs through out the basement.

This is one of those jobs that are not as aesthetically pleasing as others. But it is one of those functional updates that make life so much easier for them. Before this, they had a pole hanging from a wire that that was screwed into the board and it was often coming out. Now they have a secure option to dry their clothes and store extra items.

Fixing blinds look pretty standard job for handyman services. It’s a simple thing, but it adds so much more privacy to a bedroom that it’s a hot commodity.

I was starting a Marco Polo to my family mid project and scared myself! 😂😂😂
