Making this tribute video to celebrate the truly icon Doug Jones winning the "FMASU Legacy Award" was such an unforgettable experience. How often do you get the opportunity to edit a video devoted to your favorite actor? And not only that but be in the same room with him as he watched it?

Thank you FMASU, Adam Mast and John Pugh for giving us this opportunity. And thank you Doug for just being you. You have proven to the world that you can work in entertainment and not sell your soul to do it. Thank you for being an example to everyone around you on what it means to be a gentleman.

Desertscape International Film Festival 2026 was a experience we will never forget. We had the incredible opportunity to watch so many fantastic films, meet so many amazing filmmakers, and even meet an all-time hero of ours, Doug Jones.

On top of all that, we got to premiere our newest short film, Do Not Watch. And if that wasn’t enough, we were able to crate and surprise Doug Jones with a loving tribute video that played as he received a very special “Legacy Award” for all the incredible things he has done throughout his iconic career.

We got to see old friends, meet new ones, and have an unforgettable experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put on this amazing event.

John Pugh and Adam Mast have truly created a community that celebrates films and filmmakers. They have cultivated a place where people who want to share their stories have a home, instead of feeling like just a number. We love what you’ve done, what you’re doing, and what the future holds. Timber will always support FMASU and what they stand for: giving creatives a place to tell their stories and feel a little less alone in the world.

Saturday night we had the chance to screen our new short film “Do Not Watch” as part of the 2026 Guerrilla Short Film Challenge put on but the great folks at .
It was a great crowd and we were humbled to take home 1st place! There were lots of other awesomely creative shorts by other amazing filmmakers.

Huge shoutout to our crew who came together to make this thing in one night with very few resources. We couldn’t have done it without all of you and your incredible talents. and killed it on screen and perfectly nailed the tone we were going for! .goff made everything look like a million bucks! and Nacho Vasquez made some magic with the lighting. Huge thanks to , , , , , and for all your help as well! Also, for letting us take over our house.

As part of the win, Do Not Watch will also be screening at the 2026 DesertScape Film Festival, so stay tuned for details on that. Huge thanks to and for all their efforts to keep indie filmmaking and the theater experience alive!
