Bought a new countertop, sink and faucet from Lowes. Put in a small backsplash. Hooked it all up and re-installed the mirror.
Quick project for a great lady.
The largest wall in the building I just finished working on. Hot days! But the end result was worth it.
This has been a fun project! This is what I did today!
Glow up for this exterior door. I used a wire brush to get the old stain off. A light sanding and the tape prep. Painted the exterior edges of the door first so it could dry.
Then onto the trim. Two coats for everything.
Tape around door know, locks and hinges if it is not possible to take them off.
It turned out so beautiful in a classic charcoal color.
Painting is peaceful.
This summer feels a little different for me.
Instead of rushing from one thing to the next, I'm taking some time to focus on one of the things I love most—building. Not just remodeling and repairs, but creating unique pieces in my wood shop and bringing new ideas to life.
Over the next few months, I'll be spending more time designing, building, and stocking Athena Built with handcrafted items that reflect the creativity and craftsmanship that first inspired me to pick up my tools. From custom furniture and home décor to one-of-a-kind projects, I'm excited to see where this season takes me.
As a small business owner, every project, share, referral, and word of encouragement means the world. Thank you to everyone who has supported Athena Built along the way.
Here's to a summer of sawdust, creativity, hard work, and building something meaningful.
Follow along to see what's coming out of the shop next!

So, this week has not been spent doing any projects, but I have been driving my son's 1990 4 Runner across the country (to Orlando Florida) so he can have a vehicle while he does summer sales. I must really love my boys cause its a 34 hour trip, in an old vehicle with no air conditioning. But he will have it to drive around. So this week Iam being the ultimate mom!!

I got to frame in a wall and door today. Such a fun challenge. Used a hammer-shot on my own for the first time. It was exciting. A hammer-shot uses a .22 shell to fire a nail through a 2x4 into the concrete.
Thanks or the opportunity.
