We are officially closed. It has been an incredible 79 year run! Thank you all for the wonderful memories!

Today is a momentous milestone for us, marking the end of an unforgettable chapter here at Louis'! We hope to see you all!

New café to replace Louis Family Restaurant in Providence The door at Louis Family Restaurant may be closing for the Gianfrancesco brothers, but it will soon open again for another pair of business owners.

Thank you John and Albert for a delicious last meal at Louis Restaurant and for your exceptional contributions to our community. For nearly eight decades, your family has created a site for countless memories, traditions and friendships that have shaped our city. Congratulations on your retirement!

It's time for us to embark on a new chapter. Our legacy began with two brothers and will forever be defined by two brothers. We've had an extraordinary journey from 1946 to 2025, and we're grateful for the trust and loyalty you've shared with us over the years. Our last day will be December 31,2025.

With love and respect, we will be closed tomorrow, December 14, 2025. May the Brown University Community be lifted up in prayer and surrounded by love!

We will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2025. Everyone, take this special day to stuff your faces with a traditional feast and create some memorable moments with loved ones, or at least memories you won't recall after that third serving of mashed potatoes. We certainly will!
