"Uptown No Look"
Alright so, if you don't know already, I'm from Philly. Specifically, Uptown. In Uptown, if you were taking a picture and trying to be cool, you didnt dare look at the camera when you were flicking up. You made it look candid even though it was posed. This is an actual candid photo of lil cuz during a convo. After looking back at it, it took me back to my uptown no look days. If you know, you know. P.S. he's from Rhode Island, not even close to Philly lol.

"The other side of America"
Rhode Island, USA
I've mentioned before that when I see an America flag flying from a house, my first thoughts are ..either that's a veteran, a conservative, or maybe even someone who is trying to equate America with being white. Maybe it's because I see the American flag hanging next to Trump signs so often or even next to Confederate flags that it has jaded my view of the flag. These are things I'm working through with myself. BUT this flag is flying from the house of an immigrant. Which was a reminder that some people who were blessed enough to get here are just proud to be in America and had the opportunity to make a better life. I guess that's the other side. But I know there are so many complexities to immigration as well. Is it just me? When you see the flag do you feel pride or anxiety? Or both?

"Suburbs"
I remember back when I was growing up, probably a teenager, I would drive to the mall in Plymouth Meeting, PA. On the way back I would drive through all the different developments just to see all of the big homes and neighborhoods and would think to myself, man one day I'll live in a place like this or even claim my favorite houses. Now that I am where I am, I know that you'll never be satisfied if you never take the time to love what you already got.

"Reflection"
We do not simply learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on that experience. Without reflection we'll blindly create unintended consequences and fail to achieve anything useful.

"The drive inside"
Sometimes the drive you have inside is what makes all the difference from those who "make it" and those who dont.

"If you do it right, you dont get old, you become a classic"
Saw this classic beauty on my way home from a morning coffee run. Classic cars just have a different feel to them!

"How do we make holy water? We boil the hell out of it"
Funny little church joke lol. I pass this church every so often on my way in and out the development. I've seen it but I never really noticed it. But in my quest to be more aware of the things around me, i found myself noticing the nice light and shadows of the trees hitting it. Also the symmetry was definently noticable. says it looks like the beginning scenes of a movie. Someone really paid attention to the details. But wait, isnt the devil in the details? 👹

"Rainbow Hunt"
If it's one thing we always look for after a storm, it's rainbows. Rainbows can be symbolic of hope and hope is what we need in the face of COVID-19. Many people are putting up rainbows to share their positive outlook and to give people something fun to do on their walks around the neighborhood....hunt for rainbows. How many have you found?

"Faces in the trees"
Since we are on lockdown here in PA just like everywhere else and I've been missing taking time to make photos, I've decided to start taking my camera out with me when I take Monty for walks. I can't lie, now being in the burbs makes for some pretty uneventful sights. But I'm challenging myself to become more observant. Today there was a tree that caught my eye. But not for its color of leaves or how tall it was but it clearly looks like a face just staring at me as I walk by it. (I definently have the same face in this lockdown). Now that's the only thing I see when I pass it. I have a suspicion that there will be more faces in the trees.
