Welcome to Mount Pleasant, a Community Library of Providence. For more, please browse our home page at www.communitylibrariespvd.org. We offer a variety of programs and services to members of our community and the Greater Providence area. We are a network member, which means if a resource is not physically present at our location, we can request it electronically and have it delivered to the location of your choice. Some of our services and programs include:
~ESL and citizenship classes for adults
~Self-service computer labs for adults and children
~Adult book clubs
~Friends of Mt. Plesant Community Library Book Group and book sales
~Reference services for adults and children
~Teen Programs, such as our Teen book group, Dungeons & Dragons, and Wednesday crafts
~ After-school homework help
~Craft programs, storytimes, and martial arts for kids
~Free notary services

Edwin (Eddy) L. Mulleady one of our very special patrons died suddenly last month. We decided to honor him at the library as he had no known family. Many of the groups he belonged to such as Trivia, Bookclubs and his Gardening family joined us in a celebration of his life coffee hour.
The reflections were heartwarming, funny and enlightening! I think we all needed this as it was healing and comforting. Thank you to all who joined us.
Special thanks to Luis Godoy and his family who kept us informed ❤️

How It Works:
Register with Youth Services Librarians Ms. Jennifer or Ms. Karina at Mt. Pleasant Library.
Read (or listen to a book) with your child - the same book read multiple times counts.
Keep track of your progress by coloring in a circle for each book you read (or listen to!) on one of the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Logs.
Submit your completed log to Ms. Jennifer or Ms. Karina.
Get a small prize! Your child will receive a sticker for every 100 books they read. When they reach 500, they can choose a free book. When they reach 1000, they can receive a free book and a book buddy stuffed animal!

Join us on Thursdays, September 17th and 24th from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM for LEGO Printmaking! Using LEGO Dots, you’ll work to design and create an amazing piece of art, whether it’s a pattern, image, or abstract design! Once your creation is ready, you’ll print it using vibrant colors!
This program is recommended for ages 6+.
