As the design of our 2024 race car is wrapping up, the team prepares to begin our manufacturing season!

We are back! Sorry about the hiatus from updating this page. Competition this year was a roller coaster. Here is a quick recap!

Competition recap: Competition is over! Here’s what happened…

Day 1: We set up camp and made some last minute fixes before getting our first tech inspection. Unfortunately, we had a late tech number, failed tech the first time, and had to wait for re-tech on day 2 :(

Day 2: We had our design presentation first thing in the morning and it went pretty well We also got re-teched and got our first sticker! We moved onto tilt and passed after some quick adjustments. Unfortunately, our electronics had some troubles and we couldn’t start the car for noise before our cost presentation.

Day 3: We fixed all electronics issues and passed noise first try. We then moved onto brakes but encountered engine tuning issues. After lots of hard work by our team, we passed breaks and moved onto dynamic events! We laid down times for all events but could not get our last acceleration runs in. Due to some engine issues, we were slower than anticipated but were very happy with completing all events. (We also may or may not have sprayed coolant all over the track)

Day 4: We started the day early with some practice runs to tune our engine. We then moved to fuel and lined up for the endurance race. After 10 laps, we crossed the finish line with the car fully intact! We are super proud of the reliability/performance of our car and the hard work of our team!

What a competition! We had a blast and Riptide was able to finish all the events👏🏻 We are all very proud of what we were able to achieve this year. A huge thank you for everyone who helped us along the way 😊
