The Providence Police Explorers will be hosting an informational night in preparation for our upcoming explorer class. The event will briefly discuss the origin, structure, requirements, and benefits of our law enforcement program. Those interested must be 14 years old entering the 9th grade or be 15-20 years old. Family, friends, and those interested are strongly encouraged to attend the informational session. Attendees under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone interested in becoming a Providence Police Explorer there will be an information night on September 11 at Central Station located t 325 Washington ST in the auditorium at 6:30 pm. If you are 18 years of age or over you can come alone but if you are 14-17 years old you must bring a parent/guardian. This is an informal informational meeting. Any questions about the Post will be answered.

Explorers,
Just a reminder, the International Police Conference at the Convention Center starts tomorrow at 0800 hours. Please make sure you are there for your corresponded times or that you have someone covering your slot. It is imperative that we assist during this conference as they will be donating money towards our uniforms and training supplies. Sergeants please contact all explorers (new and old) and make sure they are all on board.

Explorers, please check your e-mail. There has been an e-mail sent to everyone's on file e-mail regarding an event coming up.

I need a head count of how many people are interested in going to the summer Academy. Tuition is $225. I need an exact head count so that we can see how much assist the Post can provide.

Monday June 17 at 1800hours Graduation rehearsal at the PCTA. Tuesday June 18 at 1630 hours rehearsal and 1800 hours graduation!

Due to possible bad weather we cannot make the range tomorrow but we will be meeting at the academy to assist the candidates with Less lethal training. BDU's

Tuesday's meeting we will be assisting the Candidates with less lethal training. Uniform will be BDU's.

There will be training at the range tomorrow so we couldn't secure it. Next meeting is going to be next week at the range at 1730 hours!

Explorers, still no word on the range for Tuesday . If we cannot secure it there will be no meeting until the next week.
