Just another day looking like this in Providence ☀️

River views, city skyline, and a little extra magic on the water. Not a bad place to spend an afternoon.

Whether you’re out exploring or just taking it all in, this is your reminder to look up (and maybe slow down for a second).

Seen this view in person yet? 👀

WaterFire by boat is unlike any other 🔥 WaterFire Providence

Follow GoProvidence for all your local tips + tricks on everything PVD! ✨✈️

As a part of the WaterFire Circle experience, I got on a boat ride along the river, all the way down around the last basin by Memorial Park. It was an entirely new perspective for an already unforgettable event.

There are several ways to see WaterFire by water. Providence River Boat Co. and La Gondola Providence, Inc. offer tours during full lightings as well. They sell out quickly, so book ahead! 🛶

There’s no better way to experience the night.

Check out the upcoming schedule of full and basin lightings for the rest of the season below:

🤍 August 14: basin lighting
🔥 August 29: full lighting
🔥 September 6: full lighting
🔥 September 26: full lighting
🤍 October 3: partial lighting
🔥 October 17: full lighting
🔥 November 7: full lighting
🤍 December 11: holiday basin lighting

Coffee & croissant at Madrid Bakery, anyone? ☕️🥐

This adorable shop in Wayland Square is THE place to go for a traditional European baked good and quality espresso.

I got a Vienes, an espresso shot with whipped cream. The espresso was rich, bold, and balanced well with the whipped cream. And the croissant… out of this world. 💫💫

It was happily busy the entire time I was there. I definitely want to come back and try their Tarta de Santiago (an almond cake), which is such a gem to have found here in Providence.

Where to next? Let us know your recommendations below! 🥰

Spend a morning with me in Wayland Square with RI Public Transit Authority 🌊🚌

The best way to get around Providence is by taking the bus and then walking to your destination. RI Public Transit Authority has a multitude of routes around the city.

Today, we decided to take line 32 to Wayland Square ✨

I started the morning at Madrid Bakery with an espresso and croissant. 🥐 I then ended up at E A S T S I D E C H E E S E (check out the prints vending machine!), Books on the Square, Paper Nautilus, and wistfully strolled by Red Stripe Restaurants (before they were open for lunchtime 🥲).

I grabbed a quick, healthy lunch at Wayland Fresh where I built my own salad bowl. It was my first time here and I lovedddd it. They also have smoothies, wraps, and snacks! 💓

To head back downtown, I found the nearest bus stop and hopped on by just scanning the QR code on my phone. The Wave app (or physical card) makes paying and planning so easy and affordable. No parking mess, no parking fees, and no stress. RI Public Transit Authority is the way to go! 🚶‍♂️💫

We went to Saint’s Cafe, a new Dominican-rooted spot in the West End ☕️

Saint’s Cafe just opened in April 2026, and pays homage to the owner’s heritage, taking inspiration from her father’s coffee farm in the Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴

The space is cozy, homey, and tastefully decorated. Tucked away in the West End of Providence, Saint’s is a spot you go to actually sit and enjoy your coffee. 🤎

I got an iced Dulce de Leche latte, and seriously, 10/10 rating — the foam, rich espresso, homemade syrup, cookie crumble on top (are we kidding!!?) 🍪

Go check out Saint’s Café for your next coffee run or quiet morning, and let us know where to go next!
