Story
Providence-based Dusknight (Julio E. Berroa) is a a Q***r Latinx Electronic Music Producer and Performer drawing inspiration from a variety of genres from Instrumental Hip-Hop to House and Heavy Techno. Dusknight creates music similar in style to French Producer, Don Philippe, and other artists such as Boys Noize, Ant Meridiem, ODESZA, Flume, and Skrillex among others.
A multifaceted multi-media artist, Berroa maintains his music career as he pursues a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Degree in Digital Media Design and Photography at Rhode Island College.
Born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic, Berroa moved to Providence at 14-years-old. After making music under several aliases (TEDD and Boyz Blood), Berroa then ventured to create Dusknight. Chiefly inspired by Don Philippe, he created his first body of work under this alias titled “Sounds of Summer” in 2019.
From a young age, Berroa’s had a profound love for music. In 2014, he began DJing classes and has continued his practice with performances at PVDfest in 2015 and has, since, been playing in small basement shows in Providence, RI.
