First Responders Dinner by Lexi

We have some unfortunate news everyone and we are reaching out for your help. Our Founder got into a bad car accident a bit under two weeks ago and insurance just got back that it is a total loss. With their offered payout, she won’t be able to get a new vehicle which means she won’t be able to continue the good work in the community that she has been doing for years and we don’t want that to happen. We are looking to see if anybody has any connections to car dealership owners as we need a replacement vehicle, preferably a SUV, to keep up our good work here at our First Responders Dinners for Thanksgiving/Christmas time every year, the pet food pantry she founded The Pawfect Pantry, along with our work with Help the Homeless and countless other activities our Founder does to help the community!

Don’t forget Thanksgiving/Christmas are coming up sooner than you’ll know it!!! As always we are looking for donations of canned goods: carrots, corn, turkey gravy, as well as mashed potatoes (prefer Instant), turkey stuffing, chicken stock, butter sticks (need quite a FEW boxes of the four packs) and of course turkeys with parsley, with hot sauce.

We’d love to be able to provide drinks and desserts this year as well! We always ask that some are sugar free to ensure that those who need sugar free/reduced sugar and diabetics are able to enjoy as well as those who can enjoy the desserts and drinks. If you can help please reach out!

The behind the scenes of First Responders Dinner by Lexi 🤣 quick thawing turkeys that are still frozen too much, prepping the food on virtually no counter space at my new apartment, adjusting to the new reality my new oven can only fit one turkey at a time versus my old one fitting 2-3 depending on size. Still wouldn’t give this up for my life. My mothers memory means to much to me and giving back to those who freely would give up their lives for a stranger, to those who run into buildings instead of out of them, to those who help us at our worst moments is worth more than whatever trivial thing I have going on in my life at the time. So here I am Christmas Eve, cooking one turkey at a time for the rest of the night into the morning (at the very least with the amount of turkeys I have to cook for tomorrow) to ensure all THREE dinners for local precincts (2 in Providence, 1 in Pawtucket) get the meal they are expecting.
