Brown RISD Game Developers

Hello everyone!!

🕹 Brown RISD Game Developers will be having our intro meeting TOMORROW (Sat., Sept. 11th) from 12pm-2pm EST in the Rockefeller Library's Digital Scholarship Lab. We'll be going over what the club will look like throughout the semester and playing some games to finish off the meeting!!

For RISD students, you can either sign in at the front desk or wait for an E-board member to let you in.

BRGD Dream Suite by Brown-RISD Game Developers, Jacob Migneault, jdcalvelli, electronsoup, Heidi Erwin, dangreys Three games themed around dreaming, from rhythmic sheep to falling through dreams to impostor sheep.

The semester is off to a strong start! Thanks to everyone who came out for our intro, workshop, and pitching meetings; we can't wait to make some cool games!

First meeting of the semester this Saturday (January 26th), 12 pm - 2 pm in the Rockefeller Library Digital Scholarship Lab!

We'll be introducing our newest E-board members, going over club basics for any newcomers, and discussing what this semester looks like. All are welcome; no experience required. Excited to make some more great games this semester!

MassDiGI is now accepting applications for their summer internships. I worked for them last summer and had an amazing time and highly recommend it to anyone interested in working in the game development industry!

HUGE thanks to Monty Sharma for yesterday's presentation about designing quality games!

We all got some technical insights on crafting mechanics that are meaningful and enjoyable to players. We also got to hear some strategies for making successful commercial games, and tips on which skills are most valuable when working in the games industry.

Overall, an awesome first guest speaker for the semester!
