Rapid fire, let's go:
Does Texan Pecan Oil (TPO) smell like pecans?
⢠YES, it smells delicately sweet and nutty.
Does TPO taste like pecans?
⢠NO, it has a light, ever-so-slightly buttery flavor; not at all like pecans or nutty in flavor.
What's the smoke point of TPO?
⢠470-degrees Fahrenheit
What is a high smoke point and why does it matter?
⢠The smoke point is the temperature at which an oil begins to break down and produce smoke. Pecan oil has a naturally high smoke point, which means it can handle high-heat cooking (like searing, sautÊing, frying) without burning or becoming bitter.
Can I use pecan oil for baking?
⢠YES, its mild flavor and lipid profile works well in baked goods; it adds moisture and richness without affecting flavor.
Is pecan oil healthy?
⢠VERY, its rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatsâthe heart-smart fats. It also contains antioxidants, Vitamin E, and is rich in selenium and phytosterols.

⢠Pecan trees need dozens of years before they hit peak production.
⢠Theyâre naturally grown across the Southern U.S., especially Texas and Georgia.
