JEFFERSON COUNTY Texas— A now former Hardin-Jefferson ISD coach and teacher picked up a 16-year-old HJISD student multiple times in Beaumont and drove her to a gas station/convenience store where they had s*x in his pickup truck, according to details of a probable cause affidavit KFDM obtained from Magistrate Marc DeRouen for the arrest of Derek Peveto, 46.

The affidavit for his arrest on a charge of Sexual Assault of a Child says he used his position as a school district employee to facilitate the relationship.

City commissioner in Tenn. arrested, charged with s*xual abuse of a child:

According to the Sumner Co. Sheriff's Office, David Gregory, 76, was arrested and now faces charges of Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child and Aggravated Sexual Battery. Both charges were set with a bond of $750,000.

According to an eight-count indictment, Gregory is accused of engaging in at least three incidents of s*xual abuse of a child on separate occasions between 1987 and 2026. Prosecutors allege the incidents involved three or more children and that at least three of those incidents constituted aggravated s*xual battery.

David A. Ritchie, a religion instructor and the prominent lead pastor of Redeemer Christian Church in Amarillo, Texas, has been fired following his arrest over the weekend in a prostitution sting.

Redeemer Christian Church did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Christian Post on Wednesday, but it confirmed Ritchie’s firing in a statement to ABC 7.

KENDALL COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A gymnastics coach who used to work at a gym in Cedar Park faces two child indecency charges in another county.

Paul Miller is accused of touching two inappropriate body parts of a child younger than 17 years old, according to his indictment. The charges are out of Kendall County, which is between San Antonio and Fredericksburg. Records indicate the alleged crime happened in August 2024. The indictment date is June 6, 2025.

His trial begins June 15.

Indicted Fort Worth pastor Diego Fuller can continue serving as lead pastor of his church — but only through video calling after he allegedly violated his bond conditions amid his ongoing s*xual assault case.

Fuller, 40, serves as the lead pastor at Journey Fort Worth Church. He was arrested last Sept. 1 on a s*xual assault charge and indicted March 26 with an additional charge of child grooming, court records show. He previously denied the charges against him during a church service, where he put his mugshot up during the sermon.

He's continued serving in his position amid his arrest and church elders said on social media at the time they were aware of the accusations.

Fuller was arrested again on May 5 over a bond violation after allegedly having contact with an individual under 17 years of age, according to court records.
