Check-in #2 for my partner. Butter yellow, blue and white are your ideas for the color of summer. I am in love with how this swimsuit brings them all together. quilter

Two new to me flavors this year — lemon and I made up a black raspberry chip, I honor of my favorite Graeters flavor … and then my standard raspberry pecan buried in powdered sugar. While these were a bit of a challenge since I decided to stop buying land o lakes butter (my go to for every day baking) because of their support of P2025 - butter makes a huge impact y’all … so I had to make major adjustments on the fly to get them to bake correctly. But despite the fact they don’t look fabulous … each flavor gets a thumbs up from my test kitchen …

Just to prove that not everything on the j tenet is perfect …. I’ve been making (well, pecan sticky buns) for my dad for his birthday for about 30 years … and THIS particular year … I had an epic fail… first proof was beautiful … the second proof just didn’t happen. These turned out more like noodles than bread. So we improvised and made chocolate gravy and pancakes … even that got a little thicker than normal, but it still tasted good.

Technically, swap partner … I’ve been ready to ship for over a week… BUT … we’re in a bit of a road trip and decided to add some — I’m not sure how visible it’ll be with all the matchstick quilting I’ve done … but it sounded like a good idea when I first had it 😂

My last work in progress from my weekend at in Oberlin, Ohio… just 30 minutes from Cleveland! I would have finished this one, but I forgot to buy the D-rings. Can’t wait to show all the little details…

First finish of 2025. This quilt arrived at it’s forever home so I can post the final pics. It was a fun pattern to make, despite all the cutting ;)

This is my first-ever attempt at scrappy FPP and I learned a lot. One I LOVE when other people make scrappy backgrounds … and Two I struggle with it myself. 😂 I tried to just go with it … and I had fun … I did (I’m not trying to convince myself, I actually did have a great time) … but I don’t think this will make it into the final mini for my hosted by - but it’s a good trial run and visual reminder I what I like and don’t like about the result … Remjnder: it’s okay to make pretty things and not include them in a finished project. You can make pretty things for the joy of it and for what you learn!!

My first block for the with .gardunia and - it’s not too late to join! It’s going to be epic. I’m totally in love with the by and am excited to use that for inspiration. These big blocks (this one is 18 inches) will showcase these fabrics really well I think! Background is and the purple is

Little sneak peek of my latest little quilt. He’s soooo cute! Pattern by called - I dropped it off with the long armer yesterday. Can’t wait to get him@back! My seams on this whole quilt (traditionally pieced) are 👌🏻 I love how much my cutting has improved thanks to the tips from at our modern quilt guild meeting last year!

My least favorite part of quilting: cutting all the fabric! I love ironing and starching. I enjoy piecing it. I don’t even mind binding (I know I’m in the minority here)… cutting stresses me out - it’s so important to be precise…which isn’t my thing. Before I picked up sewing - I intentionally made thing messy and imperfect … there no room for that in piecing using a pattern! But it’s done: and now the fun stuff begins!
