2026 SUNSWIM POOL SWIM LESSONS!!!

The pool will be hosting swim lessons again this year! We have three different classes this year! To reserve your spot please text or email Judi Watkins at (740) 751-8098 or [email protected] or sign up in person with a manager during pool hours.

First come, first serve. Each class size is limited to 10 swimmers. See more info below.

$60 per child (Non-member)

Non-Member: $250.00

Cost Reimbursement:
If you pass the course and are hired by the Marion Family YMCA, you will be eligible for a full refund of your fees. You will be eligible for the refund after you’ve worked for two months and worked at least 10 lifeguard shifts per month each of those months.

Prerequisites:
Participants must complete the following Physical Competency Requirements to be eligible for certification:

Wednesday June 3rd 3:00pm-4:00pm Swim Assessment

200 yard swim, 2-minute water tread using only legs, and a timed brick retrieval.

Participants are expected to bring a swim suit and be prepared to get in the water every day of class.

When:
Online learning begins Wednesday, June 3rd and MUST be completed by June 9th

In-person class times: Participants must attend ALL class dates and times to pass the lifeguard course.

Saturday June 13th 8am-12pm

The Marion Family YMCA offers recertification for currently certified lifeguards.

This is a blended Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. 7 hours online learning, 20 hours in-person learning.

Participants must be 16 years or older by the last day of the class in order to take the course.
