A Townhouse Kitchen on Boudinot!
Liesl, from Studio Geiger, brought her experience working on New York and Philadelphia townhouses to this tight kitchen remodel. Custom cabinetry makes efficient use of limited space while managing to define separate spaces for a bar with Walnut countertops, breakfast table, and efficient back entry/mudroom.

He can do it all but if you have a tricky framing question, Andy Truesdell is your guy. Plus, he knows how to design a beautiful truss (check out the Mercer Street Conservatory project)

I attended Rutgers for Economics but have always enjoyed working with my hands. When I needed a summer job during college, I walked up to a local framing crew and asked if I could help. They took a chance on me and I worked for that same company, Holeman Construction, until I finished school. I enjoyed framing so much that I started full time and within 2 years, was leading a framing crew building houses and additions in the Princeton area. I met Tom while framing homes and additions for Pinneo Construction and we got to know each other. As my career advanced, I decided to expand my building knowledge beyond framing and contacted Tom about a position as a Project Manager. I have been with Pinneo since 2012 and have really enjoyed working here. Each project brings something new and rewarding.

I live in Montgomery with my wife and son. I spend my free time golfing and fishing.

Not only a Swiss Army knife of talent…but just the nicest guy you will ever meet (and this team is full of nicest-guy-you-will-ever-meet guys so this says a lot).

Whether you hide it or highlight it, a bar area is such a great compliment to any beautiful, hardworking kitchen.

Tyler joined us last year and we are thrilled to have him. He’s wildly talented and as an added bonus- brings down the median age of the team just a bit😉
Meet Tyler Bilecky: Growing up, I was consistently the help for my dad’s wild hair ideas – taking out walls, soldering copper pipes in the crawl space and mud room additions to our cabin in the mountains. As a kid raised in the Rockies, I loved being outside and had a knack for problem-solving, whether the task was climbing a peak or teaching a skill.

After years spent as an outdoor educator, guide and enthusiast I naturally transitioned into building. I got to stay outside in the elements and I got to learn something new. One summer building a cedar-sided carriage house at 10,000 feet had me hooked. I lived in Durham, North Carolina, where I worked with Acanthus Construction, specializing in custom millwork, craftsman-quality renovations and ornate Queen Anne revitalizations. Working on old houses allowed me to think on my toes, be creative and absorb a wealth of knowledge around me. After Durham, I found myself in Princeton and was struck by the incredible homes in town. It wasn’t long before I discovered Pinneo Construction and got in touch with Tom. I was thrilled to hear that they wanted to have me aboard.

I feel right at home with Pinneo Construction. The emphasis on quality and organization is what shapes the spaces we work so hard to build for our customers. As a carpenter, I thoroughly enjoy communicating with homeowners to bring the drawings to life. I am fascinated by every stage of building – from forest to finish – and the way precise and functional spaces take form. Inspired to move toward a more resilient future, I constantly look for ways to build responsibly, learning from the past to craft long-term solutions.

Whether you are an avid gardener, have kids or pets, having a room to help transition from the outside to the inside is huge bonus.

Mercer Street Conservatory: White Oak Hammerbeam roof trusses highlight this intricately detailed conservatory addition. In the evening, there is a glow from light fixtures recessed into pilasters, display niches, and even into the trusses. By day, natural light pours in from the site of this historic home along the Stony Brook.

One of our favorite team building practices looks like this...

An important part of our process is our weekly Zoom meeting. The team meets and shares updates, brainstorms issues and balances schedules but rarely is there time for one Project Manager to go visit another Project Manager on a job site.

Near the end of each project, everyone gathers, eats pizza and the PM gives a tour. Today, Tyler was showed us around his latest project, shared challenges he solved and light bulb moments he had. It’s a time to celebrate our teammates on a job well done and give a well-deserved pat on the back.
