🫠 People think we just open doors. I get it. We don’t. Someone made a list that most of the Realtors have seen that showcases the 86 ways a home purchase or sale - can fail. We work hard to get new clients and KEEP THEM too. 🏅 It’s full circle. ⭕️ Setting expectations is the number one tip I have for agents struggling with deals falling apart once an offer is accepted. Please educate your clients on this whackadoodle market and set up expectations. TIP 1: If your buyer gets a steep discount off the price of the house - please don’t then ask the seller for 4 pages of bs during the inspection period. Have your buyer put themselves in a sellers position. Conversely - TIP 2: Listing agents if your seller has their home on the market with no price corrections at day 87 - and a viable buyer shows up and offers 10% less on the house … break down the situation with your client & set those expectations that countering at full price is probably not gunna fly. Last tip TIP 3: In TN, your home inspector is probably NOT an expert in m o l d, structural/foundation, termites or any other specialized field unless they are licensed in those fields. If the home inspector you use is known as “the deal killer” — maybe find one who stays in their lane a bit more.
