OLMS PTO

Thank you to the parents who volunteered their time and resources to help with our 8th grade celebration breakfast yesterday morning! A huge shoutout to Christy Last and Abby Kromhout for organizing the PTO-sponsored event, and to Christy for creating the festive balloon photo backdrops. Students enjoyed French toast sticks, donuts, yogurt, and açaí bowls. We couldn’t have done it without the OLMS kitchen staff pitching in as well! 🍩🍓🤗

Today, on behalf of the OLMS PTO, we had the opportunity to recognize Abbey Kromhout for all of the time, leadership, and dedication she has given to the Liberty Middle School community over the years.

Abbey has done so much behind the scenes for our students, staff, families, and PTO, and we wanted to thank her for everything she has contributed to OLMS. Her leadership and commitment to the school community have truly made a difference.

Thank you again, Abbey, for everything you’ve done for OLMS and the PTO community.

Also, we wanted to make sure to give a special thank you to Amelia Wells for all of her work behind the scenes editing the staff Lip Sync videos for the event. We truly appreciate all of the time and effort she put into helping make the Lip Sync Contest such a fun experience for the students and staff! 🎤💙

What a fun day at OLMS! 🎉

Today we held our first-ever Tattoo the Teacher, Pie in the Face Teachers, and Staff Lip Sync Contest events — and our students absolutely loved it!

Throughout the week, students voted for their favorite staff Lip Sync performances and also participated in raffles for the opportunity to pie teachers in the face. Students were also able to purchase tattoos for teachers, and every tattoo purchased was placed on the staff member selected by the student!

A huge thank you to all of the teachers, staff members, and PTO volunteers who helped make the week so much fun for the students. We especially appreciate everyone who volunteered to participate in the activities and helped create such a fun atmosphere around the building. We also want to thank Principal Brian Baker for jumping in and participating as well!

A very special thank you to Christy Last, who chaired the events this week and worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to pull everything together and make the entire week a success for the students and staff.

These events brought a lot of smiles, laughter, and energy to the building as we wrap up the school year.

Thank you again to everyone who helped support the activities and to our amazing OLMS staff for always being willing to make school fun for our students! 💙

We’re gearing up for some hilarious end-of-year fun at OLMS, and we’re looking for volunteers to help sell raffle tickets during lunches from May 18–22!

These tickets will be used for students to participate in crowd-favorite events including:
🥧 Pie a Teacher
🎤 Teachers’ Lip Sync Battle
🎨 Tattoo a Teacher

It’s going to be a really fun week for the students, and we’d greatly appreciate any help covering ticket sales.

Each ticket is 50 CENTS and gives your student a chance to enter to throw a pie in a staff’s face, choose a tattoo for a teacher, or decide which lip sync video is best! Any donation over that amount will be used towards the eighth grade celebration on the last day of school. Also include your student’s name, for distribution.
