I'm incredibly grateful to the Marion Star for highlighting what Gen Real Do Good has been up to. It means a lot to see our community taking notice.
This has never been about getting attention. It's about finding a need, showing up, and doing what we can with the time and resources we have. If sharing our journey encourages even one more person to help a neighbor, support a local charity, or volunteer somewhere in our community, then it's worth it.
Thank you to everyone who's reached out, shared our posts, or simply offered words of encouragement. Marion has a lot of good people, and we're proud to be a small part of it.

Marion is full of incredible people and organizations making a difference every day. If our videos inspire just one person to help a neighbor, mow a lawn, pick up trash, or support a local charity, then we've accomplished far more than just cleaning up a property.
Thanks to everyone who's been following along and encouraging us. I hope it reminds people that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. ❤️

It's seriously pretty cool that the city recognized all the amazing volunteers of Gen Real Do Good! Couldn't be more proud of everyone!!

The City of Marion would like to thank Gen Real Do Good for volunteering their time and services to mow overgrown lawns. We can’t thank them enough for their commitment to our community.

Gen Real Do Good is a registered nonprofit that is 100% funded by Generations Realty. The organization was created specifically for community projects like this. Every project is completed entirely by volunteers who simply want to give back to the Marion community.

Thank you, Gen Real Do Good!

Sometimes doing the right thing means getting completely drenched. 😆🌧️ We could have packed it in, but the yard still needed mowed, so we kept going. I'm incredibly proud of this team and thankful to everyone who gives their time to help make our community a little better.

Drive-By Shooter Found Guilty by Marion Jury of Six Counts of Attempted Murder and Other Felonies

Isaiah Redmon was found guilty of multiple serious felonies after he forced his way into a home and later opened fire on a group of people that included two Marion police officers.

On September 22, 2025, Redmon forced entry into a residence on North Grand Avenue in Marion and assaulted a man inside the home. He then fled the area in a white Ford Explorer. A short time later, Redmon was a passenger in that Explorer as it drove down that same street and fired four shots from a .45 caliber handgun toward a porch where two Marion police officers and four residents were standing.

Redmon fled the scene after the shooting. Flock cameras that scan license plates of passing cars helped investigators identify the vehicle Redmon used during the incident and an address associated with the vehicle was found. Ultimately, police found Redmon hiding inside a hollowed-out log behind a house.

During the investigation, Redmon gave multiple conflicting statements to police. He initially claimed he knew nothing about the shooting, then said he was only in the vehicle at the time, and later attempted to blame another person during trial. His lies were easy to disprove, and investigators cleared that person of any involvement. Redmon’s hands tested positive for gunshot residue, and he had changed his clothing after the shooting.

The jury found Redmon guilty of six counts of attempted murder, six counts of felonious assault, and one count of aggravated burglary.

Marion County Prosecutor Ray Grogan praised the work of the officers and investigators who responded to and solved the case. He also praised Assistant Prosecutor Allison Kesler, who tried the case alongside him, noting that her meticulous attention to detail and clear arguments helped the jury navigate all the evidence.

“This was a dangerous and reckless act that put both police officers, Hannah Greer and Bryon Doubikin, and innocent bystanders at serious risk,” Grogan said. “Redmon not only forced his way into a home and assaulted someone, but he also returned and opened fire on a group of innocent people that included law enforcement officers simply doing their jobs. The jury’s verdict holds him fully accountable.”

Redmon remains in custody pending sentencing before Judge Todd Anderson. Redmon faces the potential of spending decades in prison.

Grogan’s office will ask the court to impose a lengthy prison sentence, citing the number of victims and the fact that Redmon targeted police officers.

The successful prosecution of this case resulted from strong teamwork between the Marion Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff's Office Marion,OH, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Grogan thanked all of the agencies involved for their thorough investigation and dedication to public safety.

“This conviction sends a strong message that, if anyone shoots at police officers or members of our community, I will aggressively prosecute them,” Grogan said. “Drive by shooters are dangerous thugs who deserve one fate – a long, long time behind bars.”
