For some Friday Fun we are doing a throwback to our Boundless Freedom veterans weekend. Kayaking is great fun, but kayaking with your pup - dream goals! Big thanks to Adriane and her pup Matilda for sharing these photos with us and joining ASC at Boundless Freedom! We hope to see both of you back next year!

Last week, ASC athlete Amy Smith joined us at the Golf Classic to share her incredible story with golfers and supporters.

In 2019, Amy experienced what she thought was a terrible migraine. It turned out to be a stroke — and the beginning of a very long journey of recovery. Amy spent years relearning basic skills like walking, talking, and feeding herself, along with so much more as well as numerous surgeries.

Through it all, her resilience and gratitude have been truly inspiring. Amy credits her husband and family for being instrumental in her healing and recovery.

For the past two winters, Amy has been participating in ASC’s skiing program with her favorite sport being the ski bike.
Her biggest encouragement — and the reminder she shares with everyone she meets — is simple: every day is a gift.

Thank you, Amy, for sharing your story, inspiring everyone around you, and being such a special part of the ASC family. We’ll see you on the hill this winter!

We found her! Q’s latest adventure brought her to Seattle, WA, where she served as a coach for the UASA (United Adaptive Soccer Association) Camp.

During camp, Q had the incredible opportunity to coach athletes who may one day represent Team USA in amputee, dwarf, powerchair, blind, CP, or IDD soccer. Beyond sharing her knowledge and experience as a coach, Q also brought encouragement, understanding, and inspiration to women traveling a path similar to her own.

As Q shared:
“People often hear soccer is just one game. But Soccer for All means so much more. It’s about creating pathways. It’s about representation. It’s about community. It’s about giving athletes the opportunity to see someone who looks like them, understands their body, understands their challenges, and believes they belong on that field.”

Thank you, Q, for your dedication to adaptive sports and for helping create more opportunities for athletes to feel seen, supported, and empowered. We can’t wait to see where your next adventure takes you!

Nearly 35 years of dedication to creating opportunities for people of all abilities led to this incredible milestone. The new Lodge is officially open, creating a space where veterans, children, adults with disabilities, and their families can experience the benefits of adaptive sports and outdoor recreation.

We are honored to have partnered with Adaptive Sports Connection on the Power of Ability Campaign and were so excited to celebrate alongside their team and community this weekend.
