The Mirth Project
Our mission: to inspire and support low income teens and former foster youth to go after their goals It's the most magical party of our year.
We fulfill our mission through two separate programs under The Mirth Project umbrella. Throughout the year we operate a program called Teens With Dreams. In this program we identify low income teens who have a real interest or a goal they would like to go after but, their parents aren't able to help them pursue it. We help them by providing the equipment, lessons and experiences they need to make

Our goal at Mirth Project at Graduation is to make sure our students have all the support they need to not just start college, but graduate from it, too.
That’s why we send them off with the supplies they need for success: school supplies, laptops, dorm essentials, and even their preferred brands of personal care products. We work hard to ensure that “lack of supplies” is never a barrier they have to face as they begin this next chapter.

A huge thank you to this beautiful human, Lindsey Roshon, owner of Carluccis Pizzeria, for donating an incredible $1,200 from last Saturday's Pizza with a Purpose Give Back Day!
We are so grateful to Lindsey and her amazing team for not only serving up some of the best pizza in town, but for consistently showing up for our mission and the young people we serve.
Thank you as well to everyone who ordered pizza and helped make this donation possible. Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing laptops for our Mirth Project at Graduation students as they head off to college and trade school.
It truly takes a community to create opportunity, and we couldn't do what we do without all of you.
Thank you for believing in these students and investing in their futures.

This spring, we offered a three-session Resiliency Yoga Class at Scholar House thanks to the generosity of the Harding-Buller Foundation of Worthington.
And honestly?
They loved it.
What started as “let’s try this” quickly became something the students looked forward to each session.. A chance to breathe. Stretch. Reset. Feel grounded. Feel cared for.
So we thought we’d ask…
Are there any yoga instructors in our community who would be interested in donating a class this summer for the residents at Scholar House Three at Scholar House Three?
Classes would be small, meaningful, and deeply appreciated. We’d love to continue creating spaces where these young adults can focus not just on surviving… but actually feeling well.
If you’re interested (or know someone who might be), please send us a message. 🖤
Sometimes support looks like emergency groceries.
Sometimes it looks like helping someone finally exhale.

We’re so grateful to TSG Advice Partners for their continued support of The Mirth Project.
TSG has been with us since the very beginning of Christmas in July and their support goes far beyond sponsorships. They’ve also shown up for the residents at Scholar House Three by sharing budgeting tools, financial guidance and real-world advice that helps students build stronger futures.
This year, TSG is sponsoring our Mirth Project at Graduation activation — helping students heading to college and trade school receive the support and essentials they need to succeed.
And in true Christmas in July fashion… their activation is secretly being transformed into one of the most iconic scenes from ELF.
Hint: Buddy found himself working in the mailroom of the Empire State Building.....
We cannot wait for everyone to experience the magic, creativity and purpose behind this year’s event.
Thank you, TSG, for continuing to believe in what we’re building together. ❤️

One Thing That Changes Everything....Groceries.
The rules around food stamps have changed.
If a student is in school part time, they now need to work at least 20 hours a week to qualify.
Sounds simple enough until you understand the reality.
Jobs close to Scholar House Three are hard to come by.
Jobs on the bus line exist…sometimes.
Jobs that require an Uber can eat up most of a paycheck before groceries are even purchased.
Sometimes it feels impossible.
Yes, food pantries help.
But they don’t always cover everything.
Not when you’re trying to study.
Not when you’re balancing work, school, transportation and survival all at once.
And when every possibility has been used up, we step in.
Sometimes the thing that changes everything is simply knowing someone is there when nothing else is working.
That’s what The Mirth Project does.
Every ticket to Christmas in July helps us continue being the safety net for students who are working incredibly hard to build a future without the family support most people take for granted.
Join us July 24th for a night inspired by ELF the movie — full of joy, surprises and purpose.
Because sometimes groceries are not “just groceries.”
Sometimes knowing someone cares is the reason a student makes it through the week.
Tickets available at the link in our bio.
