Thank you to Cullen and Slade for always stepping up and being a strong foundation of troop leadership. We love you!
CULLEN RUFFNER
Cullen serves as our advancement chair and brings both experience and dedication to this critical role.
As an Eagle Scout himself, Cullen is deeply invested in helping scouts understand advancement requirements and move forward with confidence. He provides constant coaching, patiently answers merit badge questions, and actively supports scouts as they work toward their goals. His guidance helps keep advancement on track while encouraging personal responsibility and growth.
Cullen is someone we can always rely on to keep scouts focused and engaged, and he readily assists with leadership tasks beyond his formal role. His commitment to the troop, combined with his thoughtful mentorship and steady presence, has made a lasting difference in our scouting community.
JAMES SLADE
Slade, as one of our assistant scoutmasters, is a steady, reliable presence in our troop.
Slade consistently shows up for troop meetings, campouts, and parent and committee meetings, always ready to help wherever he is needed. His dedication is especially evident on campouts—no matter the weather, he is there supporting the scouts, modeling resilience, and keeping spirits high. He has a natural ability to teach proper conduct and decorum while remaining approachable, and he does an excellent job keeping scouts on task and focused.
The troop leadership can always rely on Slade to step in, support youth leadership, and help move things forward. His commitment, consistency, and quiet leadership make a meaningful impact on both the scouts and the adult leadership team. He is truly deserving of this recognition.
Congratulations, Cullen and James!

Jessica creates a fun, welcoming environment while helping scouts grow in confidence and teamwork. Her positive attitude and commitment have quickly made her an important part of the pack 405 leadership team.
NATALIE ALBIN
Natalie joined pack 405 this year as a parent of two scouts and has immediately jumped in to support our pack in every way she can. While not a registered leader, she has been instrumental in planning and executing events, giving her all to make each one special.
From helping with décor to creating awards that celebrate our scouts’ accomplishments, Natalie consistently adds her personal touch and energy. Always willing to lend a hand and dedicate her time wherever needed, she has become an invaluable part of pack 405.
TYLER NAJJAR
As Assistant Cubmaster, Tyler consistently brings a positive attitude and a willingness to support scouts in any way needed. He attends every event with enthusiasm that is truly infectious and helps create a fun, welcoming environment for scouts and families alike.
Tyler is always happy to step in, assist leaders, and encourage scouts, making him a dependable and valued presence in our pack. His energy, dedication, and genuine commitment to the scouting program make him very deserving of this recognition.
BEN TURNER
Ben has been an active leader in our pack for the past two years, serving as an excellent den leader for our webelos and arrow of light scouts. His organization, reliability, and dedication were instrumental in delivering an engaging program and preparing scouts for their transition to scouts bsa.
Ben consistently went above and beyond to support the pack, always willing to help where needed and ensuring meetings and activities were well-planned and engaging. He has since continued his service with troop 405, carrying forward the same high standard of leadership. Ben’s commitment and positive impact make him very deserving of this recognition.

🥫 Troop & Pack 405 Community Food Drive 🥫
Troop 405 and Pack 405 are partnering to support the McEachern Memorial UMCChurch Food Pantry — and we need your help!
With the ongoing government shutdown and potential pause in SNAP (food stamp) benefits, local food banks are expecting increased demand. Earlier funding cuts to school lunches and food assistance programs have already made it harder for many families to get by.
💛 Now through December, our Scouts will be collecting nonperishable food and toiletry donations to help our neighbors in need — especially seniors and families with young children — as we enter the holiday season.
📦 Collection Items Include:
• Canned goods (fruit, vegetables, soup, beans, tuna, SPAM/ham)
• Boxed mac & cheese, cereal, rice, ramen, spaghetti, peanut butter & jelly
• Juice, crackers, and individually packaged kids’ snacks
• Toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, diapers, and paper towels
🙌 How to Donate:
Drop off donations with your local Scout, or message us directly to arrange a pickup. You can also drop off donations to our Scout Hut located at 2224 Old Villa Rica Rd on Thursdays at 6:30pm.
Prefer to give financially? You can also contribute via this link: https://troop-405-food-drive.cheddarup.com — 100% of funds go directly toward purchasing shelf-stable food and hygiene items.
Every can, box, or dollar helps a local family this season. Thank you for joining Troop & Pack 405 in serving our community! ❤️
