Production Solutions Inc., a provider of Adaptive Tooling Solutions, recently introduced its adaptable, flexible and universal Vault Tooling Part Holder, available in a variety of standard sizes, pin lengths and densities as well as custom solutions that can be configured for most applications and machines. Vault Tooling is the latest sponsor on the “Jimi Hendrix Foundation” Top Fuel Dragster during the NHRA Dragster Championship Series Races!

The car, owned by Kalitta Motorsports, boasts a Vault Tooling logo on the rear wing, and has been featured on ESPN during the racing series. The Hendrix car with the Vault Tooling logo will next appear at a race at the Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA, scheduled to take place October 1-4. Raced by J.R. Todd, the dragster can rocket to 300mph in 4 seconds and is the fastest class in the National Hot Rod Association drag-racing series.

Production Solutions’ Vault is an adaptive tool that can be used in applications where the reduction of custom tooling, fixtures, molds or jigs is desired. The Vault’s patented technology uses a high density array of pins that automatically conform to the shape of any part. Once locked, it creates a “nest” to hold the part during the desired process. After completion the Vault is simply reset to prepare it for a new part.
