We don’t want AI-assisted surveillance systems in our communities! 🗣️

Without the full version of the New York for All Act, these shady surveillance tools can be a potential source of data for ICE. The half measures pushed by Governor Hochul are not enough.

The only way to stop these technologies and pass New York for All is by coming together and organizing. Join us:

Today is the first day of our Summer Fundraising Drive and we’ve set a goal of raising $150,000 by MONDAY! 💥💪🔥💸

The money we raise this week will make sure we have the staff, space, technology, and tools we need to win. In this past year alone, our fundraising drives have allowed us to protect over 74,000 tenants from eviction, defend rent stabilization in Kingston, and elect 20 endorsed champions to local office who are advancing bold ideas like fare-free buses.

Donate TODAY and your donation will be matched by a generous matching donor 💸 https://forthemany.org/donate

New York State finally has a state budget with some protections for immigrants, but what exactly made it in? Our Dutchess County Organizer Keith breaks it down 🔥

✅ The good: New York is banning face coverings for immigration agents and ending formal agreements between law enforcement and ICE

❌ The bad: informal collaboration between ICE and law enforcement is still allowed, putting millions of New Yorkers at risk

The budget is done, but the fight is NOT over. Here are steps we can take right now (details at link in bio):

📩 Email legislative leadership and demand they pass the full New York for All bill before June 4th

Landlord Special really getting out of hand 😭

Working families are being pushed out of their homes by rent increases while wealthy landlords line their pockets. That’s why we’re focused on passing the REST Act so we can expand rent stabilization and freeze rent upstate 🏠

The REST Act just passed through the Assembly Housing and Codes committees, which means it’s gaining serious momentum. We need to make sure it gets a floor vote before the legislative session ends 🏃🏃🏃

🚨 Email legislative leadership and make sure the REST Act gets a full vote: https://forthemany.org/freeze-rent-upstate

Join the fight to freeze rent upstate at our Rental Ripoff Hearings!

We’ll be coming together as neighbors to bring the issues we’ve faced out in the open and build momentum to pass the REST Act. The REST Act would expand New York’s rent stabilization laws so it’s easier for towns and cities across the state to adopt it and freeze the rent.

What the hell is going on with the New York state budget?? 👀

We break down all the recent drama, why it’s taking so long to pass, and what this actually means for everyday people.

Comment on this video and we’ll send you a link to email the Governor and legislative leadership so we can tax the rich, stop helping ICE, and protect our climate law before the budget is finally done. 📩
