The Poughkeepsie Alliance is participating in the PARKnership, a group of local residents and organizations committed to reclaiming parks for youth and families through stewardship and programming. The initiative is administered by a collaboration between the Poughkeepsie Alliance, Hudson River Housing, and Scenic Hudson.

With the 2026 spring season arriving soon, Hudson River Housing has begun the process of hiring this season's Park Stewards. If you or someone you know may be interested, the job description and a link to apply can be found below.

After weeks of delays due to inclement weather, the new City of Poughkeepsie welcome sign at the intersection of Academy Street and South Avenue has been installed. The planting of a tree and new landscaping in early spring will complete this project and will be followed with an official ribbon-cutting. Visit www.poughkeepsiealliance.org for more information.

City of Poughkeepsie to receive $10 million in DRI funds The state funding will go toward fixing the city's downtown corridor.

We are so pleased to announce that the Champions Walk at Corey Ingram Circle was awarded the 2024 American Institute of Architects (AIANYS) Pro Bono Project Citation. With welcome signs already in place at other entrances to the City of Poughkeepsie, the Poughkeepsie Alliance is working with the City of Poughkeepsie, Council Member Shook, MASS Design,
and RL Baxter Building, to develop a beautiful welcome sign at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Academy Street. It is anticipated that
this project will be completed by early 2025.
