Running back to basics with this one. This holiday break with Addie back from college filled my cup up. Being around family and recognizing that slowing down and enjoying the moments can and should be intentional, otherwise life can wreak havoc. I'm grateful these three powered through their apprehension of taking a photo in the snow because they sure seem to look like they made the best of it. Love you, love your mom (comma remains optional).

I am terrified to admit that at various times I have been so hard on myself for all the times I have reinvented myself in my career path. I’d fully emerge myself into learning whatever it took for me to excel at my role…until I was either bored, let go or found something new to try out. some elevated me, others made me feel embarrassed that I wasn’t good enough for better. Self doubt has the worst timing and I’ve been a victim to it for as long as I can remember. I can admit that this is a ridiculous mindset.

I am open to learn new things, whether it’s on the job training or researching on my own so that I can show up in my job without the “credentials”. however, it’s an unequal balancing act between seeing this as driven vs not enough. my ADHD brain has me thinking at times that my scattered thoughts are the cause to why I will give up and lose interest after the new wore off. but, when I zoom out and look at it more holistically, each part was only so big because I was moving on to collect the next pie pieces for where I am now.

recently, on several separate occasions, a shift has begun for me towards readjusting my mindset, and in turn has help to quiet that self-doubt. It is because of all these various experiences that I am now able to incorporate my education, my job experiences AND my passions together. It is finally allowing me to cultivate a very unique approach to the services that I offer.

let's schedule a time to meet so we can elevate you on your journey with less self-doubt and more celebration of your uniqueness. xo-d

you don't have to 'feel ready' to start… you have to teach your nervous system that fear isn't a stop sign. your nervous system doesn't care how much you 'understand' your trauma… it cares how safe you feel. -mastin kipp

I lost sight of my purpose
and my worth.
I questioned my value
as well as my approach and direction.
I decided to pause.
I did not retreat to avoid.
I wanted to prepare for my return.
I sat with my demons as
the negativity kept winning
until I gained strength to
to release them.
and I now know better for if they were to return.
I am back, for now.
I cannot promise I may not log off again,
but I can continue to be transparent.

today was hard
so l painted a new page
now it's quieter
it was transformed by the journey of turning inward
to move decisively outward

sometimes we mistakenly pick a word to describe how we are feeling and inadvertently assign the wrong intention. feeling wheels can be useful in gaining clarity on narrowing in on the impact our experience is having on us.

ROUTINE tends to be rigid with need for specific order with consistency; focus is on the “doing” with desire for efficiency and productivity; monotonous due to sameness in the structure of the day to day; demands all or nothing that stifles creativity and expansion; restricts to when and how the task is to be done and achieved

vs

RHYTHM is fluid and flexible, allowing for variation and spontaneity; purposeful focus on the “feeling” driven by intention; seasonal adaptations to adjust for nuances of everyday life; forgiving do to the pursuit of movement rather than perfection; expansiveness leaves room for the creative mind to experiment

I look forward to offering more mindfulness with word choice. xo-d

both my work in clinical practice as a crisis counselor and in private non-clinical therapeutic setting I have been able to pull upon a variety of experiences that have helped shape how I offer support and who I offer support to. coaching is (rightfully) a client-directed process. as a coach, I am here to reflect, assist, support, and highlight your growth, but not drive it. what l've learned over the years of working 1:1 with people, is that often times, the first step to starting a new chapter isn't to build anew. it is to release a previous chapter that's holding you back from fully embracing this one. letting go of those stigmas that have been imprinted into your subconscious that are inadvertently holding you back from stepping into alignment with your goals/dreams.

does this make you uncomfortable? often times it is because there is a lack of a plan. I am here to help you become more accountable.
