Found some coins 🪙 when diving the fast river!

Hello everyone,
I'm putting out our early Memorial weekend scuba diving and camping trip 🏕 dates so you can mark your calendars for it!
We are opening the season with a fantastic lake dive just north of Spokane, WA from 5/22/26 to 5/25/26. Those of you who want to bring a boat are more than welcome to! Discover pass is going to be required at the water front. The camp site we are going to be staying at is a hosted one and I believe the going rate is $20 a night. You should be able to keep an RV or boat 🚢 on site. At this lake there should be lots of cool things to see. I'll be bringing scuba tanks and gear for rentals. Hopefully we'll see 👀 you out there!

Did Hayden lake have a gun club years ago?
On a recent exploration dive I found an area that had an unreal amount of clays on the bottom!

Update! 11/10/2025 here's what I found out.

Established in 1946, Cd'A S***t and Trap originated on the shores of Hayden Lake and moved to its current facility on West Miles Avenue in 1965.

The large quantity of clay pigeons at the bottom of Hayden Lake is a remnant of a former s***t and trap club that used to shoot over the lake. The club, which was established in 1946, was located near the lake and the targets would land in the water.

The current club actually appears to be a pretty cool place. There was talk about it closing do to some political stuff. Hopefully it won't because it's been around forever and plays a healthy spot in the community.

Kaley and I finished up the warm water diving with some pretty unique finds! Excited for next season already.
