LAST WEEKEND TO SEE. Transformations, on view this July at Waterstone Gallery, celebrates the Oregon Potters Association and the clay community it has nurtured for more than forty years. Featuring invited and juried ceramic works by OPA members, the exhibition honors the generosity, strength, and vitality of a community that continues to support, connect, enrich, and transform clay artists.

This highlights the powerful intersection of art, sports, education, and mentorship through original artwork created by Franklin High School Girl’s Basketball student-athletes. 50% of artwork sales directly support Franklin Girls Basketball .

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Sunday’s artist panel! We’re so grateful to Larry Nelson, Erin Cooper, Charles Piatt, Roberta Lampert, and moderator Donna Cole for sharing their knowledge, stories, and decades of experience.
From conversations about studio practice and mentorship to the history of the Oregon Potters Association and the power of artistic community, the morning was filled with thoughtful insights and meaningful dialogue.
We loved celebrating the vibrant ceramic community together and look forward to seeing you at future programs at Waterstone Gallery.

Join us this Sunday for a special artist panel featuring Larry Nelson, Erin Cooper, Charles Piatt, and Roberta Lampert. Moderated by exhibition juror Donna Cole, this lively conversation will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of working ceramic artists and the enduring impact of the Oregon Potters Association.

*NOTE ON PARKING: Tomorrow is also the Portland Pride Parade, which will be staging at the park blocks one block East of the gallery. If driving, we recommend approaching the gallery from the West and plan on walking a block or two. Or, arrive early and enjoy breakfast at any of the many delicious options in the Pearl District!

This Thursday, July 9, join us for Courts to Courage: Portraits of Women Who Changed the Game, an exhibition and fundraiser created in partnership with the Franklin High School Girls Basketball team as part of Portland Arts Week.

Celebrate the connection between art, sports, and community while supporting the next generation of artists and athletes. 50% of all artwork sales by the student artists will go directly to the Franklin High School Girls Basketball team 🏀
