Thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate Las Posadas in downtown Portland. Your energy and joy turned Director’s Park into a lively, welcoming place full of culture and warmth this holiday season.
Together, we honored traditions passed down for generations, keeping our stories, music, and rituals alive. Las Posadas is more than just an event. It’s a living celebration that strengthens our identity, celebrates resilience, and reminds us of the importance of hospitality, unity, and shared humanity.
Thanks to you, families connected, children enjoyed hands-on activities like piñata decorating, and local Latinx artists and entrepreneurs shared their talents. Downtown Portland became a welcoming home for everyone. We danced to Latino music, sang the letanías of Las Posadas with mariachi, broke piñatas, and shared tacos and churros. These simple moments became powerful expressions of joy, culture, and togetherness.
In the end, we are one community, full of beautiful diversity. We are resilient. We need each other and stand strong, always celebrating, supporting, and lifting one another up. Now, when community matters more than ever, Las Posadas gave us a moment of hope, reflection, and shared joy.
