June is Men’s Mental Health Month. In the U.S., nearly 80% of people who die by su***de are men, yet men are significantly less likely to seek mental health treatment than women. Checking in on the men in our lives, encouraging vulnerability, and reminding them that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness—can save lives. 💙

Some of the most helpful things I say in therapy are not “nice” but empowering, meant to make you think, inspire change, and wake you up. .mind.therapy

💬 The Truth About Therapy – Why You Should Give It a Shot 💬
We get it—therapy can feel like a big step. But it’s a powerful one. Here’s why it’s worth it:
💡 Therapy works (and science backs it up).
About 75% of people who attend therapy report meaningful improvement within 3–6 months, including reduced stress and better emotional regulation (American Psychological Association). Research also shows therapy creates long-term benefits for anxiety, depression, and trauma—and early intervention can reduce future mental health decline by up to 60% (World Health Organization).
💬 It’s especially effective for anxiety & depression.
Studies show CBT reduces anxiety symptoms by 50–60% within 12–20 sessions (JAMA Psychiatry). For depression, 68% of people in therapy experience significant mood improvement, with many maintaining gains after treatment ends (2018 meta-analysis).
🧠 Therapy builds real-life coping skills.
People in therapy report stronger emotional regulation, better stress management, and increased resilience. Long-term therapy also supports growth—65% say it helps them feel more grounded and confident in decision-making (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology).
🤝 It improves relationships, too.
About 70% of people in therapy feel more confident socially, and couples therapy leads to improved communication for 65% of couples, with 60% reporting feeling more connected (AAMFT).
⚖️ Therapy is preventative, not just reactive.
Beyond treating current struggles, therapy lowers the risk of future mental health challenges and has been shown to reduce self-harm and suicidal ideation by 40–60% when paired with support (Psychological Medicine).
🌟 Bottom line: Therapy isn’t a quick fix—it’s a proven tool for healing, growth, and resilience. You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to invest in your mental health. 💙

I am a psychotherapist who believes that healing begins with understanding — and that every person has the power to rewrite their story. My approach to therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a collaborative and evidence-based method that helps clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I use this approach to help clients identify patterns that may be holding them back and to develop practical tools for creating meaningful, lasting change.
I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique story. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and guided by the belief that even in our darkest moments, we have the capacity for transformation and meaning. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and inspired to reconnect with their inner strength.
