The Mighty Missoula

Fun fact… the “Missoula” in our name isn’t random.

It comes from the Missoula Floods… end-of-the-Ice-Age outburst floods that reshaped a big chunk of our home in the Pacific Northwest. 

“The Mighty” part? A little wink to This Will Destroy You… “The Mighty Rio Grande.”

We wrote this music for your headphones.

Virga is our ambient record… made the only way it could be in year one of the pandemic: remotely. Alone. Together.

We leaned into the constraint and treated “the cloud” like an instrument… so yeah, it ended up cloud-themed.

It’s been out for almost five years, and we still love how it feels at night, in the rain, on a long walk, or at your desk when your brain needs fewer words.
