One-brush creature doodle with the Polygons brush in . Felt weird in the earlier stages, but when the details got tighter it was like sketching with graphite.

May the qué?
I like to sketch creatures with awkwardly shaped Procreate brushes. Like my scribble start technique, it gets me rotating the page, peering into a mess to find something living in there. Then I pull it out into the light a little so that I can show you, too.

GUESS WHO IS TEN YEARS OLD TODAY?!?! Have you been feeling a certain…excitement in the air? I KNOW you have because TANMAN had his birthday today!!! Ten years ago, many long minutes after all his brothers and sisters were born, Tanman squirted out of his mom and into my heart. And now his 18 pounds of sensitive sweetness is too big to fit anywhere BUT my heart. He LOVES his mom and is ADDICTED to a good brushing, but that’s ok because I’m obsessed with patting his big ol rump a bump bump when it’s spread across the work table. He spots EVERY SINGLE GNAT that comes into the house (he’s that good) and then we get to chat about how talented he is because he’s always practicing human talk with me. He’s inspired a thousand songs and still doesn’t judge me when they barely rhyme but today I’m singin… 🎶Mr. Tanman, tell me please…how’d you get to be such a dreeeeam🎶 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TANMAN!!! ❤️😺✨

Portland, we took a chance and put ourselves out there...so THANK YOU for really showing up at our puppet film event on July 5th!!! We're still blown away by how many of you came out (enough to fill the theater 2X!) and by how fun and engaged you were during our films and Q&As. All the love you brought is fuel for our ongoing production and we can't wait to get in front of you guys again! Portland! July 5th at MOVIE MADNESS we are having a FREE puppet film screening event and YOU are invited! Saturday, July 5, 6-8pm. We’re showing our puppet film THE OUTSIDER (and more), sharing behind the scenes stuff, and displaying puppets and props we used in the film.
