I wrote Cosmic Breakthrough about the kind of love that makes you release the hurt that came before and believe in love again. It’s about romantic love, but love can heal it all, even society itself. I won’t stop believing in our own collective cosmic breakthrough.

We were in studio yesterday recording some of the best songs I’ve ever written thanks to and the Echo Fund. Feeling so supported by my city and this fantastic group of players bringing my vision to life.

Trigger warning: It’s been five years and a few months since I tried to jump ship. Everything had piled up, I didn’t see a reason to stay. I wrote goodbyes to about 50 people and still didn’t think I had a reason.

My attempt failed, and a few good friends reminded me that music was one of my big reasons, and if I didn’t get it out of me I’d continue feeling sick. They were turning, away from the bu****it and towards the light. So I grabbed a hold and let them twirl me too. Now more of my music is in the world. I wouldn’t say everything’s all better, but I know it’s a gift to be here and I’m trying to make the most of it and enjoy being me. This delicate, unique blossom of life that I am. That each of us are.

In 2023 or so, I heard Annie Lennox’s version of this song by Neil Young in that movie American Beauty and started sobbing. I came around, thanks to people who saw the beauty inside of me and helped me draw it out. So I covered the song, producing it with - It’s available everywhere you can listen and I’d love you to hear it.

Stay. As long as you can. I do it now for the billions of years of life that had to be here in order for me to be. They survived, and so will I.

Mostly to drink tea, and cuddle puppies and kitties, and laugh with loved ones, and sing, and dance. And simply be. Despite everything.

The current cruelty in this world has really grabbed hold of me lately. I’m being extra tender, loving, and forgiving with myself as we navigate these times, and I hope you’re doing the same for your precious self. Much love to all. 💗

“Knuckles of white, I’m holding on” is about how I’ve been feeling lately. I know I’m not the only one. On top of all of the suffering out there, there are some deeply personal things going on in my world that I don’t know when or if I’ll ever feel up to sharing. Life changing things. The kind of things that force you inward, into a more spiritual state of mind. They’ve left me feeling vulnerable this year, it’s been hard to take the stage, the place I love to be.

I’m recognizing how much of my life has been spent in survival mode and what the effects of that have been. The good news! There’s growth here, I’m writing some of my best work, I’m healing the parts I’ve protected and defended so long. Whatever comes next is the rainbow I’ve been searching for. I’m almost ready.

All that being said, I’d love to see some friendly faces Sat, I’m going to be digging deep into the joy and beauty of this often sh*tty, but somehow always wonderful human experience. It’s a wonder we’re even here. Thanks for all the love and the folks sending messages saying they’re still listening. I’m still here. 💗

You can find me perched on a mossy tree branch snacking on worms post haste. Seriously though, would rather write about anything else, this glorious planet? My own existential dread? But that would require freedom, that stuff the billionaires keep stealing and selling back to us.

Speaking of those mfckers, I already wrote a song about them called “American Dream”.
“I been working for my bread and wine, head down don’t fall behind… a lifetime bought and sold”. They’re taking more and more from us everyday.

Time to get with the program, it’s us vs them. Nothing else matters.
