After the beach in Paskudha, we returned to Kandy, Sri Lanka, a very vibrant town on a beautiful man-made lake. We booked ten nights in the same large two bedroom apartment which we had done twice before, so things felt like we were home!
After almost ten years of talking about our former Portland housemate Miles joining us, it happened! It was his first time in Asia!

We arrived at midnight on April 29, 2026. AND once again we were greeted with flowers and hugs from Ayesh! He is a certified tour guide, friend, driver and cook! He's your man if you have plans to come see his country! 🇱🇰 You won't be disappointed!
As a gay couple we always feel welcome at Gomez Place in Negombo and it's a short drive from the airport. The next morning after breakfast, we shopped for food and headed to Amanda Beach Resort near Pasacuta Beach to explore another popular beach on the east coast. We won't go back there! EVER AGAIN! We were robbed during our second hotel stay. 🤬

Our flight out of Singapore to Colombo Sri Lanka was changed so rather than paying $150 to stay in the hotel, we put our luggage in storage and headed out to explore! The National Gallery Singapore was excellent! The live eggplant exhibit was a fun surprise. The over 18 exhibit was nothing special however. 💙🇸🇬👀

A few parting photos from Bali as we head to Singapore!

We found a beautiful private pool villa at Villa Bali Asri Batubelig for three nights which included an excellent in-house breakfast for just $129 a night! 🙏🏽💙 We had a very attentive and friendly staff in our favorite neighborhood! AND the place was decorated perfectly!
(We already booked again for our return on June 18th!)
