The Roma Café is a traditional, classic American / Italian restaurant located in the heart of the W Henry and Anna Isabel Rines in a brick mansard style.
Designed by the noted Portland architect Francis Fassett, the Rines Mansion was built for J. The couple took up residence there in 1887, and over the next four decades entertained Portland’s leading residents and dignitaries from away. The Rines family’s business holdings in Portland included the Congress Square Hotel, now the Eastland Park Hotel, and WCSH-TV. The Roma Cafe, established by Dominic

We want to share some sad news with our Roma Café family. At the end of this month, Chef Sid will be moving on to his next adventure. For years, he has been the heart of our kitchen, filling our tables with unforgettable pasta dishes and sharing his passion with every guest who walked through our doors. His creativity, dedication, and kindness have left a lasting mark on Roma, and we are endlessly grateful.
As we send him off with all our love and best wishes, we invite you to join us in celebrating his time here. Over the next few weeks, Chef Sid will be creating a series of farewell specials, rotating daily for a limited time. It’s your chance to enjoy his incredible cooking once more and to raise a glass to everything he has given to our community.
