Met up with an old friend tonight at the Montavilla Jazz Summer Soiree this evening, the incomparable legendary jazz drummer, Mel Brown. Mel is more like family as I grew up next door to his sister and his nephews were good friends. It was great to catch up. What an inspiration!

I had the absolute pleasure to host the best group of kids from the Black Student Union from Hazelbrook Middle School for a studio visit last Friday and a discussion based on black owned businesses with the kids and two of my favorites, Chuck Matthews and Gretchen Huber!.

Client appreciation of the day, stage edition. I had the honor and joy of photographing comedian Robby Hoffman on her visit to town at the PAM Tomorrow Theater. Watching her perform and chat with guests was a special experience to say the least. We got the bits that couldn’t go on the Netflix special and if you’ve seen that you know some pearls got clutched with this set!

Sports edition of my celebration of my celebration of my clients from last year who put their trust in me for their most important photo moments. Oregon Episcopal School has been a wonderful partner for sports and other events for the last couple of years. It makes it even more special as I was an Aardvark from preschool to second grade. Sports photography is such a fun challenge to capture big moments when they happen. Anticipation!
