Alaska Master Naturalist Program


The Alaska Master Naturalist Program is designed for teachers, non-formal educators, and anybody who is curious about the natural world, sharing that knowledge with others, and supporting conservation of Alaska's natural resources.

The Certification of Alaska Master Naturalist is earned in three components:


  • 45 Instruction Hours of classes, workshops, retreats, or conferences

  • 40 Naturalist Hours of volunteer or educational service teaching what you’ve learned
