California is a fantastic travel destination, especially in the north and central regions! Nothing compares to towering redwoods and dramatic cliffs that highlight the rugged coastline. Be sure to bring or rent a wetsuit, as the water can be rather cool. I recommend trying a boggy board for some coastal fun, and don’t forget a little ice cream to celebrate your time away!

This little treasure is from Spain, circa 2002 or 2003 around my junior year of high school and my very first trip overseas.

I spent the summer working as a lifeguard, earning about five dollars an hour, all with one goal in mind: to see the world. I drove an old car that then valued at $500 that my stepdad was constantly repairing, but I didn’t mind one bit. To me, the world was worth seeing and travel meant truly living.

Needless to say, I fell in love with Spain. Barcelona had me at first sight. That journey sparked something in me, and my wanderlust has only grown stronger over the years.
