The Maine Celtics join in the mourning of Gerald E. Talbot, an eighth generation Mainer and passionate advocate for civil and human rights.

The first African American legislator in State of Maine history, Talbot addressed a variety of societal issues and worked his entire life to promote Maine’s Black history. His legacy in this state will live on forever.
