I have only been in business for about a year, but I decided I needed a new name and brand that I was passionate about and the conveyed the projects I love doing—plus I'll be changing my name after our wedding so I needed something more versatile :) Letters and Dust will be the new name for Brittany Hampton Design, and I have been spending the last 6 months building a new site as well preparing for the switchover on social media! I will leave my BHDesign accounts open for a bit just to be sure people can still find me but eventually everything will be migrated to the new site. I just want to say thank you to all the new friends and clients I have met this past year that have made my career possible! I couldn't have done it without you!

The chalkboard trend has been growing in Portland in recent years, bringing back an element of hand drawn style, as well being environmentally friendly in regards to using only one sign and creating new artwork.

On December 13, we collaborated with a talented group of wedding professionals to give a couple their dream wedding. Angela and Brandon were renewing their vows after 7 years of marriage. Through a contest hosted by A Classic Affair, they won the vow renewal specially curated for them.

Creating unique chalkboards such as the globe featured in these photos as well as the welcome sign were a new challenge for me, but a fun one to boot! I also created the cake topper with a quote from Star Wars, one of the couple's favorite movies.
