Columbia Basin Fish & Wildlife Library

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday the Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Library will be closed on Thursday November 28 and Friday, November 29 2019.

Starting August 14th, 2019, the StreamNet Library will be known as Columbia Basin Fish & Wildlife Library.

Why make this change?
Since 1995, the Library has collected, preserved, and provided access to fish and wildlife information resources on the Columbia River basin. The StreamNet Library title was originally derived from one of the Library’s core missions to preserve source data documents from the StreamNet fisheries data project, now operated under the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission. While the Library will continue to fulfill its core mission to the StreamNet data project, our former title failed to adequately encompass the broad spectrum of resources and services we actually provide. In consultation with our many partners, we have changed our name to Columbia Basin Fish & Wildlife Library to better reflect the focus of the Library as the regional information source for fish and wildlife co-managers, tribes, and other interested parties in the region.

What about the website?
The Library’s website address will remain www.streamnetlibrary.org until the end of 2019, when the website will move to a new web address that reflects the name change. The www.streamnetlibrary.org website will redirect to the new web address for several months to ensure user access during the transition.
