We are in the process of putting together an executive order to put in front of Donald Trump within the next couple of days to increase the domestic bluefin tuna quota by a minimum of 1000 metric tons. For years, as you know, we have been the whipping boy of ICCAT. European Union has benefited from very large quota, nearly 50% of the TAC, while the United States has an allocation of 3% of the total allowable catch under ICCAT. I am writing to ask if you are willing to have your name on the executive order submission as you are a bluefin tuna permit holder. Please share with anyone who would be interested in supporting. They can respond to me directly. We have until close of business tomorrow to get the list of names together. A response with your full name, vessel name, and HMS permit number would be very helpful. Please call with questions.

Summer 2024 Restricted Fishing Days are Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starts July 1
Beginning June 1, the bag limit is 3 BFT per day.
