Two jackets from the F/W 2001 Yohji Yamamoto Collection
Both featuring his unique blend of expert tailoring and avant garde sensibilities.

The first: a dressed up version of a casual track jacket with the classic three white stripes and exaggerated long front

The second: A casual take on a formal tuxedo tails style jacket with the massive safety pin closure and asymmetrical front hem

We call these jackets "easy avant garde" because they are not hard pieces to wear! They would pair just as well with jeans and a tee as they would a more layered avant garde ensemble!

This early 2000s ensemble features a sheer silk button down and high waisted pants to match!

When 1995 Christian Lacroix looks like it came off of the 2024 runway... And it is deadstock with the original tags - never worn (aside from the gorgeous our model!)

Lacroix so graciously for us fashion history buffs labels each piece with the season, but of course this particular runway has NO photos or videos online... as forever archivists, we will keep searching! How did a collection that produced such a stunning piece not find its way online? Luckily, we have magazines and books from the time to scour through...
