Big rustic style buttercream cake, decorated with sugared rosemary, lavender and olive leaves for a beautiful reception at Decarli Italian Restaurant in Beaverton. This cake might look like a two-tier, but there were actually four individual cakes underneath the frosting...The proportions worked out nicely, it looked awesome!

Gigantic 7-tier pagoda cake for a Chinese themed holiday party at the Portland Art Museum. We used tons of chocolate for the "walls" and "roofs", red and gold fondant for the "windows" and "doors", and poured sugar and gold dragees for the details...

My favorite cake in 2015 - made for a Prohibition/ Steampunk themed holiday party at Left Bank! Sugar paste covered whisky crate as the base, shiny fondant "metal" gears and rivets for decoration, and fondant "metal and wood" drums stacked on top... All the cakes underneath were of course soaked with whisky or rum (to go with the theme). Huge fun!
